Shuttle DS57U3, a New Fanless core i3 PC
At Ambros we have been offering Silent fanless PCs for a number of years but achieving this silence has until now cost processor proformance. This situation has now been remedied with the release of the Shuttle DS57U3 based around a core I 3 processor.
The Shuttle DS57U3 is availible in black, and is built around 14 nm Broadwell micro-architecture, resulting in very low energy consumption and excellent Intel HD 5500 graphics.
For a PC designed for the commercial environment compact size is paramount. The Shuttle DS57U3 dosent dissapoint with slender dimensions of 20 x 3.95 x 16.5 cm (DWH). Upto 16 GB of DDR3L memory via 2 SO-DIMM sockets. One 2.5″ SATA drive with 6 Gbit/s can be installed, while a mini-PCI Express slot can be fitted with an mSATA SSD. this allow for a dual disk system, A wireless lan card is housed in the second mini-PCI Express.
Like all of Shuttles commercial PC range, built quality of the Shuttle DS57U3 is top notch The case is made of steel and feels solid, Connectivity is genourous, with Dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with Intel controllers, 2x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0, audio ports and a card reader. There are even Dual serial ports which are useful for many commercial uses like EPOS. A remote power-on connector ensure that the PCs can even be professionally used when the computer itself is not directly accessible.
