Support Intel® AMT Technology
With installed Intel® Core ™ vPro™ processor, the Shuttle DQ170 can support Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT), which can remotely manage and repair the client PC system via a wire or wireless network (across different network segments) from anywhere. It can effectively reduce the cost and manpower of on-site maintenance.
The Shuttle DQ170 features a 1.3-liter slim design and body thickness of only 43mm with significantly less cables and no daughter board.

Support3x independent displays
The Shuttle DQ170 provides 2 DisplayPort and 1HDMI video outputs to support 3 independent screens. Use an adaptor to convert HDMI into DVI interface and DisplayPort into HDMI or DVI interface for diversified signal selection.
*For triple display: convert two DisplayPort signals into HDMI or DVI with one active and one normal DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI cable (adapter).
Connect with multiple peripherals via four USB2.0 ports, four USB3.0 ports, and two RS232 (one RS232 and one RS232/422/485, both support 0V/5V/12V). In addition, an adaptor can be used to convert RS232 to USB port for supporting more devices.
24/7 Nonstop Operation
Officially approved for 24/7 permanent operation. Thanks to Shuttle’s low power consumption design and stable operation, the PC runs highly reliable and meets the long-term demands of digital signage or other vertical applications.
External Power button
The external power button is key for vertical applications where the power on button is often out of reach. The Shuttle DQ170 has a power-on from remote line feature, enabling users to power on from a separate location. Users can find four-pin-connector at the back panel of DQ170. In addition, this connector also provides the Clear CMOS function. Without opening the chassis, users can reset the BIOS settings.
VESA Mount Capability
The compact 43 mm thick DQ170 has multiple screw holes specially designed on the side of the machine. The design is VESA mount compliant and allows for versatile integration into hardware systems. This space saving capability is well-suited for application of digital signage with limited space.
Equipped with Intel® 100 Q series Chipset
The Shuttle DQ170 is equipped with Intel® Q170 chipset to support Intel® Core™ vPro™ processors and dual-channel DDR3L 1600 with the maximum memory capacity of up to 32GB (16GBx2). Able to support 2x Intel® Gigabit LAN interfaces, SATA 6Gbps, and USB3.0 high-speed storage interfaces, providing superb data transfer speed.
Support TPM data encryption
The Shuttle DQ170 is built-in TPM 2.0 function (Trusted Platform Module), which provides a set of random keys to protect HDD data security. TPM ensures that unauthorized users do not have permission to access data.
Heat pipe cooling technology
The DQ170 features Shuttle’s exclusive heat pipe cooling module with smart fan design. Smart ventilation keeps the system running quiet and cool for long term operation.
Support 4K Ultra HD
HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs support 4K high resolution (3840×2160), four times the resolution of Full HD.
Support M.2 and Mini PCIe expansion slots
The DQ170 is built-in one M.2 2260 with type M and one half-size Mini PCIe slots to install M.2 SSD and a WiFi card or other compatible devices, proving a strong expansion capacity.
Support Intel® Dual Gigabit LAN
The DQ170 built-in Intel® Dual Gigabit LAN, supports Wake On LAN and Teaming Mode function to provide high-speed data transfer capacity. Connect to a single network using two cables at once with an appropriate switch (teaming mode with load balancing or failover function) or to two different networks depending on the needs of the user.
Support Power on by RTC
Enter BIOS to set up the Power on by RTC function that allows you to set a time to boot up the computer, which can also be turned on and off with the Windows task scheduler. This feature means saving electricity and energy as well as eliminating the cost of on-site service.
The Watch Dog
Watchdog Timer provides excellent security protection for systems that need to operate continuously for a long period of time. Use Shuttle’s Watch Dog utility to maintain the normal operation and stability of the system at all times.
