Media Center START button: One button launches Media Center.
Remote Standby button: Run your computer in power-saving standby mode, or restore it to an active state.
Transport controls: Familiar transport controls let you play, stop, pause, record, skip, rewind, fast-forward at multiple speeds (1.4x, 5x), and step forward frame by frame.
Replay: This "instant replay" feature moves recorded TV and videos back seven seconds; it also moves a music playlist or CD, slide show, or DVD chapter back one track.
Skip: Jump to the next audio or video track or, when watching recorded TV, skip ahead 29 seconds.
Navigation controls move between selections. Press the MORE INFO button to display details about media selections, including show, album and song titles, artist names, and more.
Shortcut buttons launch Media Center experiences—My TV, My Music, My Pictures, My Videos, Recorded TV, Program Guide (Guide), and DVD menu.
A/V controls: Audio and video buttons control channel selections and volume, and a keypad enables direct entry of tracks, channel numbers, and text.
Show off Your Pictures
Slide shows are fun again when you use Media Center to display your pictures. Use the remote control to zoom in on details or to pan across an image. Was that portrait shot sideways? Rotate your picture in 90-degree increments using the remote or the buttons on the My Pictures menu. And when a friend asks you for a copy of that picture, you can print it up right away from the Pictures Details menu.
The use of the above functios requires windows XP media center edition, and compliant hardware eg TV cards
